Sister Winifred was my Geometry teacher in 1970 at Seton Hall High School. She was just the best!!! A wonderful woman with passion for teaching and serving God! Rest In Peace dear Sister!
Sister was very much loved at Seton Hall. She came to the reunion for the class of 65 in 2005, and we so enjoyed catching up with her. Rest In Peace , Sister. You will be missed.
I am saddened by the passing of Sister Anne Mark. She was one of my all time favorite nuns! In recent years she met with Mark Murphy, Dennis Cunningham and myself for dinner. She also came to our class’s(class of 1967) 45th reunion. What a wonderful person and teacher she was. She will be missed! Larry Dittmeier, class of q967

I knew Sister Winifred as Sr. Anne Mark for Grade 6 at St. Sylvester’s. Sister was patient and graceful and was the first teacher to encourage me in my writing. I used to write to her when she transferred to Seton Hall in Patchogue. I thought about her often through the years. Rest in Paradise, Sister.

I majored in English at St. John’s University in Janaica NY graduating in 1972. I had a 34 year career teaching literature and writing at Islip High School on Long Island. My
