So sad to see this, but I am sure she is in a better place. She was my all time favorite nun when she was at Saint Peters in Lowell. Kept in touch with her over the past 10 or 15 years until she got sicker. May She Rest In Peace. God Bless You Sister Robert Timothy, for always being so kind and thoughtful
My memory of Sister Robert Timothy is specific to the Postulancy and Novitiate. Barbara was tall, svelte and smiling. She had a slight husky, but soft voice. Her words were kind and her lips were smiling. If she had experiences at that young age of the disease that would be her companion, she gave no indication. She was athletic and played a fun game of tennis at recreation. Rest In Peace Sister.
This describes her perfectly. I can picture her as my sixth grade nun, in her habit, with that huge smile. I don’t think I ever heard her raise her voice. Always speaking calmly. She was one in a million.
I had Sister Robert Timothy for 2 years at Saint Peters School. Of all the nuns she was the best. May you RIP
Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your God….fond and beautiful memories of a good and joyful spirit on Bowdoin Street…you will be missed.
I also had Sister Robert Timothy when I attended Saint Peters. She was such a Sweet Nun with a very Low spoken
Voice . I always remembered her kindness and lovely Smile. She was my Favorite out of all the Nuns I had .
May she Rest In Peace ..Heaven has surely gained a True Angel….🙏♥️
I grew up next door to the Sullivans during the fifties in Dorchester, MA.
You could not imagine a nicer family.
Barbara took her name after her brothers Bob and Tim. Sadly Tim succumbed to “sleeping sickness” when he was but a young boy.. Knowing the Sullivans it was no surprise that Barbara devoted her life in service to others.
Did you grow up on Sydney Street? For some reason I think Sister told me that is where she grew up. My Godmother still lives there.
I was watching a commercial about someone’s favorite teacher and I Googled Sister Robert Timothy. Sixth grade, St. Peter’s Lowell. I will never forget her! Kind, loving, compassionate and protective, she was an extraordinary woman who made an indelible impact on me. “May the angels of The Lord protect you……”
