SCHUBERT, Sister Mildred SC Sister Robert Thomas, a beloved Sister of Charity, Halifax, for 61 years, entered peacefully into eternal life with her God, on August 28, 2024, at Elizabeth Seton Residence, Wellesley, MA. Sister Mildred was born in Richmond Hill, NY, the daughter of the late Mildred L. (Decker)) Schubert and Thomas H. Schubert. Along with her parents; Sister Mildred was predeceased by her brother, Robert C. Schubert and his wife, Nancy; and their grandson, Daniel Haftek; Mae Schubert, wife of Thomas Schubert; and her brother-in-law, John Kearney. She is survived by her twin sister, Marjorie Kearney of Weymouth, MA, her sister, Alice Haydamach of Ridge, NY, her brother, Thomas Schubert of Texas; nephews, Daniel Kearney of Weymouth, MA, J. Scott Kearney, his wife, Jen; and their children, Braden and Caleb in Connecticut; her niece, Colleen Salvaggio and her husband, Frank; and their children, Joseph and Mia of Kingston, MA; as well as her Sisters throughout the Congregation.

Sister Mildred was missioned at Saint Nicholas of Tolentine School in Jamaica, NY, where she taught junior high school students for fourteen years. She moved to Saint Francis Preparatory School (formerly Bishop Reilly High School) in Fresh Meadows, NY, where she served as a school psychologist for over twenty years. Sister Mildred also had a private practice, offering psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults. She also served as the Director of the Religious Consultation Service of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, NY, where she offered referrals to religious individuals seeking help, as well as leaders of the various congregation serving the diocese. Through her warm and compassionate presence, Sister Mildred made the love of God visible and tangible to every person and in every situation she encountered.

Funeral Services, for Sister Mildred Schubert, SC, will take place on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Mount Saint Vincent, 125 Oakland Street, Wellesley, MA. Wake at 9:30 AM, followed by a Prayer Service at 10:15 AM and the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:45 AM. Interment will take place at Saint Mary Cemetery, Needham, MA, immediately following the Mass.
