From the famvin.org:
Over 200 members of our Vincentian Family (including a large number of young adult participants!) gathered in San Antonio, Texas for the 2017 North American Vincentian Family Gathering.
Themed, “I was a stranger and you welcomed me…” (Matthew 25:35), brief highlights reported thus far by Sr. Julie Cutter include:
- Telling and hearing stories about being a stranger and being welcomed around the tables (using the model of pastoral circle).
- Hearing Yessenia Vazquez (Guatemala) and Yahannes Bohta (Eritrea) sharing their journeys and experiences as an immigrant and refugee
- The workshops on diverse topics.
Twelve Sisters of Charity – Halifax Sisters, Associates, invited friends and employees attended the gathering. Please watch their videos below to get a glimpse into their experience.
