Wow, she was my Kindergarden teacher in 1954. I remember her well. She was always nice.
After Marie came to Riverton in the 1950’s our pastor, always needing to find funds for the school, said he’d do away with eighth grade before he’d close the kindergarten! That’s how loved and valued Marie’s kindergarten program was by the people of Sacred Heart. Marie was a generous-spirited person who thrived on doing things for others. In visits to Wellesley in recent years I came to know Marie in a much different way from what was possible as a novice, an experience I’m so grateful for. RIP dear Marie.
A wonderful nun. I had her in kindergarten. I remember being the “head” pixie in the play. She attended a Sacred Heart School class reunion in Riverton, NJ for the class of 1961 in 2009. May she RIP.
Robert, Sr. Marie often mentioned your generosity to her when I saw her in recent years. It meant much to her.
I was named John Raymond after her. She has been support and inspiration my entire life. I miss you Aunt Marie.
